In my artistic journey, I explore both abstraction and representation, each style enriching the other. My fascination with time travel—how altering moments can change outcomes—influences my work. By playing with memories and experiences, distorting familiar scenes, and abstracting emotions, I delve into the fluidity of perception and the beauty of imperfection.
In my life as an art teacher, I spent years guiding students through diverse creative processes, which has altered my own style to be adaptable.
Through abstraction, I capture the raw essence of emotion and experience, creating a visual diary of introspection. These pieces invite viewers to interpret their own narratives within the fluid forms and vibrant colours.
In my representational works, I offer glimpses into familiar scenes and figures, often with subtle distortions and unconventional perspectives. This challenges viewers to reconsider their preconceived notions of reality.
The theme of time and its transformative power is ever-present in my work. Whether abstract or representational, each piece reflects the mutable nature of existence, inviting contemplation on the fragility of memory and the inevitability of change.
